Rare vintage 1950's Paden City Pottery small bowls with atomic Calligraphy pattern designed by Anton Refregier. Set includes 8 small bowls.
Anton Refregier was an American painter and nationally renowned muralist. His most popular work was "The History of California" mural located in the Rincon Center, in downtown San Francisco, California. It depicts the state's history across 27 panels that he painted from 1940 to 1948. He was a Russian immigrant to the United States in the 1920s. Damage or Points of Notice: Overall excellent vintage condition appropriate with age and light use. One bowl with very slightly faded design. Two bowls with small chip, one bowl with small maker's flaw (please see photos). All imperfections are quite minor. See last few photos for details. Overglaze decoration.
