Original Leo Politi gouache on paper. Signed and dated 1978 on lower left corner. A festive street scene celebration and a tribute to the famed Olvera Street in downtown Los Angeles. Cheerful and joyous folk art with lively spirit. Bright vibrant colors of children playing and dancing under traditional Mexican piñatas. Artwork is mounted on foam board inside a gilt frame (no glass).

Atiglio Leoni Politi (1908-1996) was an American artist and author who wrote and illustrated some 20 children's books, as well as Bunker Hill, Los Angeles, intended for adults.
