Frequently Asked Questions

Shopping

  • How often do you add new items?
    • We add new items weekly, so please check back frequently!  Also, please sign up for our newsletter and we will keep you posted on new acquisitions and discounts.
  • How do I decipher your measurements?
    • For most products we provide an overall width (W)/length (L), depth (D) and height (H).  In addition, for furniture items we may also provide arm height (AH), seat height (SH), seat depth (SD), or seat width (SW).  Measurements are approximate.
  • How do you determine the condition of items?
    • We inspect and assess each item for flaws and damage and note any findings in the product description. Flaws are defects, visible marks, or inclusions made during the manufacturing of the item(s). Depending on the visibility and severity, we may adjust the price of an object. Damages are defects made through use, handling, cleaning and storage. Damage includes nicks, tears, cracks, scratches, paint wear and crazing. Damage generally affects value. We ensure pricing reflects the condition of the item(s). We will make every effort to include specific details on flaws and damage (including photos) so that the prospective buyer can make his or her own assessment.
    • We also note a product as 'Excellent Vintage Condition', 'Very Good Vintage Condition', or 'Good Vintage Condition'. We understand that this is subjective and means different things to different people. If we note an item in Excellent Vintage Condition, we believe that there are minimal flaws or damage based on age and use. Very Good Vintage Condition typically refers to items that have been used moderately and may have visible damage. Good Vintage Condition typically refers to those items that show heavy use or a moderate amount of damage.
  • What payments do you accept?
    • We accept Shopify and Paypal payments, which includes payment cards such as Visa and Mastercard. We do not accept checks, money orders, or wire transfers.
  • Do you offer discounts or promotions?
    • Yes, we offer a variety of discounts at various times throughout the year (i.e. free shipping on orders over $xxx and xx% off loyalty discounts for subscribing members and repeat customers). 
  • Do you offer trade discounts?
    • Currently we do not offer trade discounts as our pricing is extremely competitive. However we do offer periodic loyalty discounts for our subscribers. Please sign up at the bottom of our home page!
  • Do you upholster?
    • Love a piece but wish you can change the upholstery?  We are happy to provide a quote but you must provide your own material (COM/COL). Contact us with the item description and we will provide you with a quote from our upholstery source.   
  • Do you gift wrap?
    • Gift wrapping on most items would be extremely difficult (and unsightly), however we can ensure the packing slip excludes a price. We can also add a card or personal note - just let us know!

    Information Security & Privacy
    • Is my personal and payment safe?
      • We take your security seriously which is why we utilized Shopify to build our e-commerce site. Shopify has state of the art security built into its products.  In addition, we don’t store your credit card information (this is handled by the payment processor) and we will never share your personal information with anyone else.  For detailed information, please see our Privacy Policy.
    Shipping & Returns
    • Do you ship Internationally?
      • We're happy to ship internationally, depending on the item.  Please contact us with what you'd like and we'll provide you with a shipping quote. Please note that all applicable duties, fees and taxes are your responsibility. If you're unsure what this will cost, please check out an online calculator for your country or contact your post office.
    • How long will it take to get my order?
      • We aim to get your package out for delivery in less than 3 days.  Within the contiguous US parcel packages typically arrive within 5-10 days of purchase. Larger items are estimated to be delivered within 2-6 weeks.  International orders vary.
    • Do you offer combined shipping?
      • Yes, we will combine items where we are able. Unfortunately due to the variety of sizes, shapes, and weights of our items we cannot guarantee we can consolidate items and save on shipping. If you would like to combine shipping, please let us know and we will provide you with an adjusted rate (as applicable).
    • Do you offer green packaging?
      • We reuse and recycle packaging whenever possible.  If you have a special request for specific green packaging, please contact us. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
    • Do you offer express or expedited shipping?
      • Yes. If you have a package that needs to be delivered as soon as possible, we can accommodate. Please contact us prior to placing your order so that we can confirm that your items can be packed and shipped ASAP. You will be responsible for any additional shipping charges.
    • Where's my package?
      • Check your order confirmation email for the tracking number first. If the information from the shipping company (UPS, USPS, etc) doesn’t help, please contact us and we’ll help you find your package.

      Other

      • Do you have a store?
        • We do not have a brick and mortar retail store, nor are we currently scheduled for any shows or markets. However, if you would like to see a particular item we are happy to schedule an appointment so that you can come see the item(s) at our warehouse.
      • Are you the same edgebrookhouse that I have seen on Chairish?
        • Yes, we also have a storefront on Chairish.com. Please note that purchases made through Chairish will be handled and shipped in accordance with Chairish policies. We do not have control over shipping/logistics.  Also, you may notice that prices between the two sites may vary as Chairish charges commission.
      • Can you tell me what my <antique/vintage item> is worth?
        • Although we have extensive experience and reference materials, we are not certified appraisers. We do not provide estimates of value nor will we recommend a professional appraiser.
      • Can you help me find <item x>?
        • Our team of buyers cover a lot of ground, and who knows - we might just find that rare item you are looking for. Just let us know what you are seeking and we can contact you if we come across it.
