Antique oil on canvas landscape winter scenes by Lithuanian artist B Kulesz. Romantic snow scene of creek snaking through tree lines with small remote cozy cabin. Mounted in ornate gilt frames.
Handwritten in Polish on back of one of the painting is "Na Gwiazens Dla Kochany" which translates to "For Christmas my Dear". Also mentioned was "Svencionys", a city that was part of the second Polish Republic for most of the interwar period. It was a district in Wilno Voivodeship as Swieciany during Polish rule between 1920-1939. It had a significant Jewish population (according to the 1897 Russian census - 52%). These paintings were painted during the period under Polish Rule, prior to WWII and German occupation.

Cancellations

- Once shipping has been initiated, the cancellation will be considered a return

- All sales are final 48 hours after receiving your purchase (Except Local Pickup — see below)

- For approved returns, you are responsible for the full cost of return packing & shipping plus applicable taxes
