1940s Industria Ceramica Umbra ICU Italy Ceramic Coffee or Tea Set - 13 Pieces
1940s Industria Ceramica Umbra (ICU) gilded mottled brown ceramic tea or espresso / coffee set made in Italy. Set consists of a pot, creamer, sugar bowl, and 5 demitasse cups and saucers (13 pieces total).
The Industria Ceramica Umbra company was founded by Salvatore Spinelli in the immediate post-World War II. It was located in in Città di Castello, in the province of Perugia and known for the production of artistic ceramics. Through 1949 the artistic and technical direction was entrusted to Renato Bassanelli and included several collaborators (ceramist Elsa Mercati, painter and sculptor Aldo Riguccini, and ceramist Fernando Bizzirri). At the end of the 1940s the owners of the company were Luciano and Silvano Spinelli, Salvatore's sons. The Umbrian Ceramic Industry ceased production in 1952. Pieces are marked with 'Italy', 'ICU' and/or the image of a Castle.

Cancellations
- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason
