Antique Wheellock Pottery Co ceramic lidded ovenware / casserole dish with fruit basket motif.

In 1882, George H Wheelock traveled to South Bend, Indiana to join his brother, C E Wheelock, in business. Soon after George purchased his brother's interest in the business. George was a direct importer, and wholesale and retail dealer. He dealt in art pottery, fine china, and high quality cut glassware. The company opened a location in Peoria by 1888. The company closed in 1909.
