Vintage Vindex (Belvidere, IL) cast iron elephant nutcracker circa late 1920s to early 1930s. Fantastic Modernist Art Deco form. Acrylic plate holder which is propping open the 'mouth' is not included.

Damage or Points of Notice: Overall very good vintage condition. The form is in excellent condition, however this item has been painted black at some point with a few small areas of the original finish seen peeking through. There is a hole in the form which once held a rope tail.
