1950s Large Italian Majolica Ceramic Spaghetti Cat and Kittens Figurine on Pillow Table Lamp
Large whimsical and precious Italian majolica spaghetti art cat and kittens on pillow figurine. Converted into a working lamp on white painted wooden base.
This large figurine is a rare collectible 'Spaghetti Art' sculpture. The pottery technique used is similar to decorating a cake with an icing piper. A very meticulous process as each figure was made and painted by hand! These were made in Italy in the 1950's. This type of ceramic is sometimes called 'Majolica' for its vivid glazed colors.
Lamp stem is height adjustable and swings inward to center shade over figurine.
